How do you select which fitness program is best for you?
Deciding on the right golf fitness program is easy…if you know the right system!
Selecting a personalized Golf fitness program
1) ESTABLISH A FITNESS GOAL Why do you want to start a golf workout program? You may want to prepare for the upcomming season or get ready for the club championship. Choose a fitness program that compliments your goal.
2) ASSESS YOUR FITNESS LEVEL, IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES Pinpoint areas that need attention. To play better golf you need golf specific flexibility, strength, balance, breathing, endurance and cardiovascular conditioning. Where do you need the most improvement? What program bests addresses your golfing needs? For example, if you aren't very flexible, a course that emphasizes flexibility, such as yoga, may be an option. Do you tend to tire out before finishing your round? Then consider an aerobics class. Do you have a weak lower back? An exercises program that focuses on strengthening the glute max and and the glute medius muscles may be right for you.
3) WEIGH YOUR OPTIONS, BALANCE THE PROS AND CONS, AND CONSIDER YOUR LIKES AND DISLIKES Selecting a golf fitness program you'll enjoy will keep you motivated. Once you have thought this through you're ready to make a committment. It's time to start achieving your fitness goals. GO FOR IT!
